Wendy Roth-Doria
I started in real estate as a self-employed mortgage loan processor in 1998. In 2006, I became a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and later managed a local mortgage and real estate office in San Diego. I changed gears in 2008 and entered the educational community. After leaving a career in special education in 2021, I returned to real estate.
I hold a C.A.R. certification as a Transaction Coordinator, combining my real estate license with administrative expertise. With a degree in Business Management and a focus on Professional Office Management, I thrive in administrative environments. I value efficient processes, constantly seeking innovative methods to enhance transaction management. Being a native of San Diego, I cherish my city and all it has to offer.
All About Wendy
Hobbies
I enjoy being outside, in my yard and gardening. I recently added a greenhouse to my backyard and I enjoy propagating succulent plants. They are so easy to grow and there are many varieties. When I garden I’m able to be in the moment, which I enjoy.
Traveling
I love warm climates and I find myself drawn to those types of destinations, however, I have cruised to Alaska twice. What a beautiful place, it’s almost indescribable. You need to experience it for yourself. On one of the trips my daughter’s passport didn’t arrive in time. We all flew from San Diego to Bellingham and had to walk across the border with our luggage because we weren’t allowed to fly into Canada without the passport. My kids were mortified at the time, but it’s a fun family story as the years pass
Learning
I love learning! I take classes whenever I can. I’m getting ready to take a photography class in January. I inherited a very nice camera and I want to learn as much about it as I can. Much of my personal growth and development has taken place outside of a traditional classroom. I love different cultures and learning about them. I enjoy the opportunity to talk with and learn from our older generation. They have so much knowledge and wisdom.
Fun Facts
I have a strong attachment and love for animals, most all animals. I have a small “farm” that includes goats, sheep and chickens along with my cats and dogs.
Food
Okay, I'm not a foodie. I’m pretty easy going when it comes to food, but living in Southern California I love my Mexican food. When I go to eat, I’m more about the experience of the dining and not so much the food. Weird, I know. I enjoy places like Hob Nob Hill Restaurant which is rich in San Diego history or Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant in Kensington.
Message
I like the fast-paced excitement that a profession in real estate brings. It’s always changing, and you are generally assisting people during major milestones in their lives. I remember feeling so lost when I purchased my first home, but I was lucky enough (merely my chance) to have a good agent that was supported by a phenomenal team. I enjoy being part of this experience for others!
Favorite Quote
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right”. - Henry Ford
There are so many inspirational quotes but this one has stuck with me for years. So much of what we can and can’t do, has to do with what we think. The mind is powerful.
Music
I appreciate all types of music, and my go-to really depends upon what season I’m in. I love Christmas music and I find myself drawn to music of the 60s and 70s even though I didn’t grow up in those generations. If I’m feeling a bit stressed, smooth jazz is my go-to.
Experience
As a Transaction Coordinator with Aide, I bring my professional experiences with transaction management, attention to detail, and document compliance to all my transactions. I consider these to be my hard skills that are absolutely essential to this job. Additionally I possess a set of soft skills, which are equally important to each transaction. Problem-solving, adaptability, communication and critical thinking skills necessary to succeed. Aide is a company that values collaboration and ongoing training and support for all transaction coordinators which is a great benefit to our brokers, agents, buyers and sellers.
